Kate has been instrumental in helping me progress as a presenter – from giving feedback on my first demo she heard from my student radio days and more recently as a mentor who always offers sound advice. Her knowledge of the industry, her passion for creating content and her ability to provide support to those rising through the ranks is endless. Kate’s advice, experience and unique approach to presenting cannot be underestimated. It’s been critical to me turning a hobby into a successful radio career.Tim Cocker
For me, keeping a long career in radio is all about being relevant to your listener. There is a true art to delivering a story and making the other party, (who can’t see you!) feel like they are included, can relate to what you’re talking about and indeed react to it.
Kate played an integral part in me developing these skills on air. We used technique’s that helped turn a fairly standard story into a piece that engaged and included the listener. Kate has given me pointers that I use every single day in prep and that I will continue to use for as long as my broadcasting career lasts.
This is what turns a radio DJ into a brilliant broadcaster.Darren Proctor
